Book Review

I'll just pause for you to laugh at the words 'One woman's search for everything'. Done? Good.

As a soon-to-be traveller this book is as refreshing as it is inspiring. It's definately a girlie book, which I thought I might struggle with as a no-nonsense non-believer. I was proven wrong however. Just when you think you're about to recieve a steamy serving of extra cheese, the author drops something very intelligent on you, making you realise you can be girlie and cheesy and smart all at once.
Eat, Pray, Love is an autobiography of Liz, a 30+ New Yorker who leaves her unhappy marriage, suffers a horrible depression and seeks solice in an amazing year-long adventure through Italy, India and Indonesia, getting all foodie and spiritual on the way, studying with yoga masters etc. It is very well written and makes you think. I'll give it 4 chillis.
If you're having relationship problems, are about to go travelling, want to get spiritual or like food this is a book for you. Don't go if you're looking for steamy sex scenes, she doesn't have any.

Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert.
